Inventory And Retail Coordinator

Job description

The Newport Gulls Summer Internship Program has evolved over the years, providing college students with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a variety of sports, media, and business-related fields. Interns can expect to learn the many facets of running a non-profit summer collegiate baseball team, from day-to-day sports management and baseball operations, to marketing and community relations, to media and public relations, to organizing special events throughout the season.

For this role specifically, in conjunction with the upcoming 2025 Summer Season, the Newport Gulls are looking for an Inventory and Retail Operations Coordinator to assist the Director of Souvenirs, as well as the entire Gulls staff to help organize and elevate the team's retail and team store operations.

Responsibilities of this intern will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the Gulls team store and inventory stock control and management
  • Complete regular and detailed inventories as needed
  • Assist in online and physical team store orders and sales management
  • Assist the Director of Souvenirs in necessary apparel designs/orders as needed throughout the pre and mid-season timeframes

Requirements of this intern will include, but are not limited to:

  • High attention to detail
  • Well-rounded knowledge and applicable experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Desire and ability to work in fast-paced environments, as well as the ability to handle and redirect stress in these environments
  • Reliable forms of transportation to and from the stadium
  • Mandatory attendance at ALL 22 Gulls home games, including playoffs and other periods of times in which the physical team store will be open
